After a few snafu's (including a lack of internet access for me over the past week ....grrrrrr) the grids have begun to be populated !

There will be many, many, many changes so don't get your undies in a bunch if you don't see something up there, if it is listed wrong, if it conflicts with something else that's listed on another site - because it's all subject to change at a moment's notice. Just jet me a quick email using the link to the left and let me know what needs fixin'.

I'm off to some Mardi Gras festivities tomorrow evening and parades start this weekend so there won't be additional updates until Monday or so. I've hardly begun to scratch the surface of my normal searching patterns so hang on - just a bit - please - and we'll get it all done.

Also, I guess it is time for the usual language about the contents of this site are a collaborative effort among the Threadheads and no, you cannot copy it for your own website (but you may link to ours), you cannot use the contents for the development of an app or other technology, and all that other stuff. period - end of discussion. Play nice.

This morning, at midnight, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation released the 2012 music lineup! We know that Jazz Fest is getting closer once that happens :)

As local clubs get through the holiday season they will turn their eyes toward the spring lineups for Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest in the new year.

In early January we will begin populating the 2012 edition of the Jazz Fest Grids site. We're working to add a few new features and look forward to seeing the grids fill-up with much anticipated acts.

The application for all interested crafts artists to apply for the 2012 JazzFest is now available online.

The three unique areas of JazzFest featuring juried arts and crafts showcase a wide variety of handcrafted works : Congo Square African Marketplace, Contemporary Crafts, and the Louisiana Marketplace.

The application is made online through ZAPPlication.org and will require image submission (5 images) and a $30 application fee.
